- 100th Anniversary
Commemorative Medal
1908 - 2008
To mark the 100th Anniversary of the Scout
Association of Malta, a commemorative medal will be minted to be presented to
past and present members of the Association who are over 18 years of age. All
unformed Leaders, Rover and Venture Scouts, members of the National Scout Council, Group
Council members, Emeritus Scouters, Fellowship members and any past
members of the Association, whether living locally or abroad are entitled to the
medal. The Medal will be known as the :

Description of the Medal
Diameter: 32mm.
Material: Metal based and silver plated with purple. See
through, fully cut to shape internally.
Mounting: Suspended from a silver plated based
ring.
Obverse: The Scout Association of Malta logo.
Reverse: The dates 1908-2008 in purple.
The Ribbon
Width: 32mm
Colour: Bi colour [white/red] corded ribbon
Cloth Emblem
Size: 52mm x 21mm
Material: Bi colour knot motif [white/red] on
a grey coloured background
Certificate
A certificate will be given to each recipient. A common
award date will be printed, that is the 3rd November 2008. Name and surname together with relevant information will
also be shown to show authenticity of the certificate. All certificates will
be signed by the Chief Scout, Mr. Vincent Cassar.
Other Information
All uniformed personnel will be issued with both the Medal
and Cloth emblem. All others will receive only the medal. Due to manufacturing
costs a price of Lm4.00 is to be paid by applicant. Any additional Cloth
emblems required will be charged at 25 cents. The Association will not be making
any profits so as not to involve higher costs.
Eligible recipients wishing to receive the
Medal are asked to submit an application on the prescribed application form that
is available
from the Chief Commissioner only. The application form is to be duly
submitted together with the relative payment to the Chief Commissioner. A receipt will be given.
