The Scout Association of Malta Centenary Medal

1908-2008

To mark the 100th Anniversary of the Scout Association of Malta, a commemorative medal was minted in 2008 to be presented to past and present members of the Association who were over 18 years of age .  All unformed Leaders, Rover and Venture Scouts, members of the Council, both at Island and Group level, Emeritus Scouters, Fellowship members and any past members of the Association [ living locally or abroad ] were entitled to the medal.

 

Description of the Medal

Diameter: 32mm.

Material:         Metal based and silver plated with purple. See through, fully cut to shape internally.

Mounting: Suspended from a silver plated based ring.

Obverse:  The Scout Association of Malta logo

Reverse: The dates 1908-2008 in purple

 

The Ribbon

Width: 32mm

Colour: Bi colour [white/red] corded ribbon

 

Cloth Emblem

Size: 52mm x 21mm

Material: Bi colour knot motif [white/red] on a grey coloured background

 

Certificate

A certificate is given to each recipient.  A common award date was printed, that is the 3rd November 2008.  Name and surname together with relevant information will also be shown to show authenticity of the certificate.   All certificates will be signed by the Chief Scout, Mr. Kenneth DeMartino.

 

Other Information

All uniformed personnel were issued with both the Medal and Cloth emblem.  All others received only the medal.
