Ghajn Tuffieha International Scout Centre

On the 13th July 2000 the House of Representatives approved a Parliamentary Resolution for the allocation of a tract of land at Ghajn Tuffieha, measuring circa 15.62 acres (56.26 tumuli), to The Scout Association of Malta. This land will serve for the establishment of an International Scout Centre and an accompanying campsite.

The public Contract for the allocation of the land at Ghajn Tuffieha for the establishment of the International Scout Centre and Campsite was signed on Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at Island Headquarters, Floriana.  Present for the ceremony, besides The Chief Scout, the Deputy Chief Executive, members of the Scout Council, of the Executive Committee and of the Ghajn Tuffieha Project Team, Directors and Commissioners was the Hon Jesmond Mugliette, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry for Education.

The Contract was signed by Mr Francis Flynn, Mr Kenneth De Martino and Mr Mark Pizzuto as Trustees on behalf of the Association and by Mr Albert Mamo as Commissioner of Land on behalf of Government. The Contract was read out by Notary Vincent Miceli, Chief Notary to Government.

Images will soon follow to show the works in progress way back in the early years.
