2009
A coordination team has
been set up within the Association, chaired by the Honorary
Secretary Robert Gonzi, and each District Commissioner as a member
on the committee focusing on an area of support. The South and Gozo
DCs shall be coordinating the events on the day at the Lufthansa
Technik Hangar and in Gozo respectively. The Central District shall be
coordinating the Fun Run whilst the North District shall be
coordinating the distribution of leaflets in Hotels and shops.
Scout Groups are more than
welcome to take part in different events and are to get in touch
with the District Commissioner coordinating the particular event for
details.
The Scouts Association of
Malta also offered its assistance for the following but due to the
organisers constraints and to the kindness of the people and
overwhelming support from numerous volunteers, our services where
not required further.
-
20 members: Traffic
assistance during the Fun Run from the Central District
-
12 leaders:
Distribution of the Piggy Banks in Schools by the National Team
-
10 Leaders:
Distribution of Leaflets and money boxes to schools and shops by
the North District
-
80 members: Assistance
in ushering, telephone operators and backstage assistance at the
Lufthansa Hanger by the South District
