Our Island Headquarters
The Congreve-Bernard Memorial Hall inaugurated in 1948 serves as the Island Headquarters of the Association. It stands on the same site of the former Congreve Memorial Hall which was destroyed by enemy action during the war in 1942. Ideally situated close to Valletta, the capital city, it is used for accommodation and camping purposes by several foreign Scout Groups who visit Malta on a regular basis.
 
Scouting in Malta
Scouting in Malta was introduced in 1908, with the formation of The Malta Boy Scouts Association, which was officially registered as a branch of the then British Boy Scouts Association on November 9, 1909. Since then ..........

The Scout Association of Malta operates its own system of Awards and Decorations through which it pays tribute to those uniformed and non-uniformed members who have contributed to the well-being of Scouting in Malta.

The three islands of Malta, Gozo and Comino, which have been inhabited for the last 7,000 years, form the Maltese archipelago. Besides being blessed with all year round sunshine and crystal clear waters, they offer the visitor numerous cultural, artistic and natural treasures. 
 
International Events

The International Scout Centre (Ghajn Tuffieha)   
Through a Parliamentary Resolution approved by the House of Representatives on  July 13, 2000 a tract of land at Ghajn Tuffieha, measuring approximately 15.62 acres was allocated to the Association for a period of 49 years. This land will serve for the establishment of a campsite together with an accompanying International Scout Centre for the Mediterranean Area.
